Grand Final excitement is at fever pitch and even at non-AFL related events, our performers at Big Sky have been raising pulses. Amongst the talent to perform this week so far has been Little Bird at Curtin University and The Darling Buds of May at the General Surgeons Conference Dinner.

THe wonderfully talented and ever-accommodating Mickey Shaked will galvanise Wheatstone this weekend, during what is always one of the most exciting Saturdays in the year – AFL Grand Final!

Brisbane band Dogwood Crossing will be rocking crowds at GLNG on Curtis Island and…

the Big Sky girls are going overseas!

That’s right, Rottnest Carnivale 2014 is on this weekend and we’re treating ourselves to a little trip to enjoy those dashing Hollywood Heroes in all their swashbuckling glory!

Happy weekend to all

I couldn’t let next week begin without mentioning a smattering of the wonderful artists we’ve had working and delighting audiences around the state. Oh, to be a student again when the likes of Ricochet Circus, amongst others, bring the magic to Curtin University! Live Caricature entertainer and Illustrator, Terry Dunnett, brought his own inimitable talents to Kurra Kurra mine and extraordinary Tap Dancers performed at the WA Media Awards. Stratosfunk shared the love at one very lucky couples wedding and Foxrock truly have been rocking Wheatstone this weekend. Wheatstone have also hosted Paul Hasleby at the Healthy Living Expo – a former Australian Rules footballer and now WAFL coach – and he is joined by the dynamic Samantha Davies, owner of Potential Energy Health Fitness Lifestyle Consulting and Education. Apologies to those I haven’t mentioned, space doesn’t always permit! Have a lovely Sunday…

The weekends don’t have the monopoly on fun – guests at the Opening Night of Black Swan State Theatre Company’s production of “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” were treated to a sensational performance by Chris, Courtney and Sherri Murphy which had them dancing until lock-out! Wednesday also saw the suave Jetpack Duo out at Curtin Uni. The stunning Fifi Fatale and tap dancing extraordinaire Jack Dunne will be exciting crowds at a corporate function this Saturday night as Wheatstone rocks to the sounds of C’est La Vie. Too many to squish in to this tiny space but ARCO violin duo will take the collective breath away from a lucky audience at a private function, also this Saturday night. Just a taste of the wonderful performers we have booked for gigs in QLD this weekend, the extraordinary Hypnotist, Mark Anthony, electric Monsters Guitar Duo and Dale Walsh will be giving some lucky people professional golf lessons…huge week and an even bigger weekend looming.

The first week of Spring has been buzzing with the talents of our stunning Big Sky performers. Amongst those delighting audiences far and wide were the impossibly beautiful Jessie Gordon Trio, the smooth Mickey Shaked, the delightful Explosive Dance crew and the amazing Amanda Canzurlo. No overuse of superlatives here – these and all of the performers we’ve had out this week have garnered praise from clients and audiences alike! And a new week beckons…
