Another delightful week has passed and an equally delightful weekend is upon us.
Curtin University was bursting with colour and music this week, with Multicultural Week, Ride to Work Day, Loud Shirt Day and a Combined Universities Pop-Up Event taking centre stage.
Monday 12th saw the extraordinary Frill Neck Lizards perform as part of the Oceana Theme for Multicultural Week. Tuesday 13th the theme swung to a South American flavour with the Carmen Miranda Dancers roving throughout the campus. Wednesday 14th was Loud Shirt Day and what better ladies to have than the Shrinking Violets and the Palm Rockers roving?! It was also the Ride to Work Day Breakfast and the Bizircus Duo would have been a better wake up than any caffeine hit! Thursday 15th the theme turned to Africa and the African Drummers Roving act flooded the campus with the driving beat. The 15th and 16th also saw the Combined Universities Pop Up event in the city taken to new height with the Mrs Red Stilts act.
This weekend the corporate arena played host to some amazing acts, such as the stunning Ali Bodycoat & VJ Zoo Minor Major Marlene for Subiaco Summer Series City of Joondalup on Sunday.
WA Mine Sites have a cracking line-up this weekend with Randa & the Soul Kingdom, The Eddie Parise Trio and The Wacky WiseGuys all performing. Happy Nights and Happy Days!

Happily busy…

It’s been one of the lovely weeks where our performers have been performing everywhere from theatre launches to morning melodies, mine sites to universities.
We have another gorgeous picture The Birds, the stunning name who performed at the launch of Black Swan State Theatre Company’s 2016 Season.
Jake Dennis and the Mint Jazz Band joined the O Entertainment tap dancers at the MPAC Morning Melodies, performing their popular “Crooners” show.
The Georgia Meredith Trio performed at Curtin Uni this week as did the gorgeously garish Flurotrash for the Giant Singalong event and the week was completed by the delightful “Emus” for English Student Orientation Day.
WA Mine sites were in for a treat with the Rebecca Scrivener Duo as well as the lovely talents of a face-painter and balloon twister, Premier Photo Booth and Bubbleology by Bubble Media.
The corporate arena will be very busy with acts such as Matt Dyktynski as MC / stand-up comedian and Komodo Music DJ at a sports awards night.
Anderson will no doubt be winning over audiences with his stunning solo guitar and Mario the (Almost) Magnificent will continue his reign of mischief and magical mayhem with his up-close roving magic.

When football season is over, who can you turn to for your dose of thrills and excitement? Big Sky Entertainment!

We have entertainment for EVERY season! And you need only look at the last few weeks to see the truth in what I’m saying. Here’s just a taste of what’s been happening OFF the field…

On Tues 22nd September, the very fair ladies, The Hepburns performed at Curtin University , followed by the wonderful Mana Farrell on Wednesday and the Jester and Clown stilts as part of the INDI Festival on Thursday. They were also joined by the bubble stilt-walking act.
Mario the (Almost) Magnificent wowed audiences with his up-close roving magic and wit at a corporate function and the gorgeous Nat Ripepi performed at a soccer match on Sunday of Football West.
Mario has had a busy week, performing for some very lucky guests at a private party and the WA Mine sites had a huge weekend with The Eddie Parise Trio (from the Baby Animals), Explosive Dancers for Oktoberfest celebrations and the Polka dots rounding off the celebrations in true Bavarian style!

This last week entertainment for the corporate arena has been busy and incredibly varied – with some of our artists travelling far and wide between gigs. The golden voice of Jay Weston and the stunning and sultry voice of Ali Bodycoat were heard at a WA Aids Council functions, where they both performed solo sets.
A corporate event at Crown Casino was treated to the formidable talents of magician Robbie T, a contortionist from Kinetica, Vegas Showgirls from O Entertainment and Gypsy Kiara “tarot reader”.
Robbie T was also seen at a corporate function at the Perth Mint, where he was joined by the lovely Little Belle Trio. And I can only assume Robbie T used his magic to spirit himself to Geraldton where he is performing at the Harvest Festival Ball in Chapman Valley – a huge week for this mesmerising magician!
WA Mines Sites are in for a real treat with the Ashes of Rock Band playing this weekend. Featuring Angry Anderson and Dai Pritchard of Rose Tattoo, James Morley ex-The Angels, Yak Sherrit ex Diesel / Jimmy Barnes and Mark Gale of Absolute 80’s with Brian Mannix, this is a gig destined to get the crowd jumping! At another site we have face painters, Bubble Media, Premier Photo Booths and the incredible Ricochet Circus performing.

And coming up we have the very great pleasure of announcing that the phenomenal Ella E will be doing a special performance, showcasing a selection of her songs from her EP Album ‘’Letters I Never Sent” at The Ellington Jazz Club – Perth on Wednesday 7 October from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.

So, if you’re suffering from a little post-Grand Final malaise, get down to the Ellington to boost those endorphins – music truly is the food of love.
