The Weather We’ve All Been Looking For

The weather we have all been waiting for is finally here! We’ve been seeing a lot of short sleeves around and we’re loving it!

We’re also loving the performances that we’ve had happen over the past week..
With Bizircus’s Roving Stilt walker, Robbie T, Mark Pascoe, AViiDA and Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys holding down all of our corporate events, ZAP Circus and Renegade stole the stage at some fantastic community events and Ragdolls & Explosive Dance (Bavarian Dancers) made their way up north to get the party started for Rocktober Fest!

And of course, this week has been just as good!
Cathrine Summers wowing the audience at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre Morning Melodies show, whilst Lisa Harper-Brown and pianist stealing the show at a Mandurah Performing Arts Centre celebration event and Black Swan had the absolute pleasure of having ARCO at the Black Swan State Theatre Company’s 2017 season launch.

The corporate gigs around the city this week have been absolutely amazing with performances from some of our great acts such as; Viva Mexico Duo, Shrinking Violets, Ashley Arbuckle Solo Fliptease Circus (Lollypop Lyra), Cathrine Summers Trio, ZAP Circus (Purple People Show), Mario The (Almost) Magnificent, Cameo Rascale Duo, AViiDA, Chris and Sherri Murphy and MC Darlene Gianoli!

But that’s not all for this week, Zatanna has the private events covered whilst Fine Company heads up north!

Hopping our way into April!

We hope you’ve all had a fantastic Easter break and you’ve come back feeling merry and of course – full of chocolate and other goodies (we know we have), though of course it doesn’t stop here at Big Sky just because the Easter Bunny is here so we too (as well as our performers) had to HOP right back into it!
You wouldn’t think it would be too much fun having to go too University over the Easter break – unless of course you went to Curtain where you would have experienced the fun filled Tennis Duo and even the Easter Bunny!

QV1 of course put on a great show for their clients with entertainment stealing the show such as Gabriella’s Vibe, Dove and they even had two little Easter Bunny helpers! How cute!
The hard workers up in the mining sector had the chance to let their hair down to Abby Sky, Big T and Oz Rock Duo! Not a bad way to spend Easter up at work if you asked me!
We also had the fantastic opportunity to supply some great comedy talents for this years Leukaemia Foundation Comedy for Cure Ball – Callan Durlik and Andrea Gibbs!
Also we had the privileged of having Olman Walley perform a Welcome To Country at an event put on by The Town of Bassendean, where Fiona Cornelisse MC’d!

I wasn’t lying when I said we had to HOP back into it!
If you happened to have caught any of these acts whilst they were out and about this week, we hope you enjoyed them and if you were interested in having them for one of your events (mining, corporate or private) feel free to call us on 9388 6762 or send us an enquiry through our website! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will check back in with you next week!

Phew! Better late than never…

It was such a busy week last week and the weekend ran away with me as well so huge apologies for this very late “hurrah” to all our wonderful performers who delighted so many people those last few days. Last Wednesday, the City of South Perth hosted the vibrant and wonderful 1950’s Roller Waitresses at their Pioneers and Elders Luncheon.
Purple Bra Day and Red Nose were both observed beautifully at a WA Mine site. Ruth Battle and her hula hoops and aerial performer Yvonne Jones both contributed their talents to Purple Bra Day and Red Nose Day was joined by the Little Belle Trio and Matthew Hale, comedy Hypnotist.
Facepainters, balloon twisters, suave and hilarious Mario the (Almost) Magnificent and Clare Stace as MC all aided a charity event for children with special needs.
Komodo Music D and incredible ice carver, Flint Edwards performed for a high school ball and those stunning Bollywood dancers performed for a 40th Birthday.
The indefatigable Beth Sheldon and Libby Hammer were an all singing, double bass and banjo playing, lasso-tricking roving duo of pure Wild West spirit at a western themed birthday party – talk about raising the roof!
Enjoy your week, one and all!
