We have received some great snaps from a grand corporate Christmas party we provided entertainment and planning assistance for last year. A giant 1920′s themed extravaganza enjoyed by many people including our Big Sky directors, Rebecca and Michelle. The night was a huge success with every act fitting perfectly into to the theme. The nifty talent who made the event the  absolute cat’s pajamas were (pictured) NIKKI DAGOSTINO, DARIAN LE PAGE, MICHAEL ELEZOVICH, ADAM HALL AND THE VELVET PLAYBOYS, SWING IT and DANCE ETC. PERTH. It’s the 1960s. Soul and R&B sounds were saturating the air-waves; major record labels like Motown, Stax, Atlantic and King were churning out incredible dance records, hit after hit, year after year.  Aretha Franklin, Ike & Tina Turner, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, the Temptations and Stevie Wonder, these were the kings and queens of Soul, these were the legends of their time.  Everyone wanted to be part of it.  No-one could refuse it.  All aboard the Soul Train!

Join Stratosfunk as they take you on a journey to pay homage to the Soul and R&B artists of the 1960s. The expanded 11-piece band’s toe-tappin’ rhythm section combined with a blistering horn section meet a front row of powerhouse vocalists and gorgeous Go-Go dancers.

DJ Agent Double-O Soul and King & Peas the Soul Purpose DJs will be spinning vintage vinyl to get the party started and then keep it going after the show. Check out pic below!

Well it’s about time we dusted off this section of our website! It has been a while since we last posted exciting news but its not the last time we had some…over the past few months we have been building Big Sky Entertainment’s talent database with some amazing new acts. To mention a few have P.U.M.P, Qynn Beardman, Toni E, Justin Burford, The Vans, The Sirens Amanda Canzurlo, Allysha Cleeman, Clara Helms and many, many more.

We have also got a new staff member, Kal J Englishby, on board to help us with our ever expanding workload. Rebecca and Michelle have been very busy not only with Big Sky commitments but also with their acting careers, having been selected to star in some big

productions this year – so keep an eye out for their names!

Well now we have cleared some of the dust and told you what we have been up to, be sure to keep an eye on this space for MANY more exciting things to come!

It was extremely exciting to be able to present the best line-up The Angels has ever seen – Angels 100% at their FIRST show before they head off on their 2013 tour. The lucky venue was The Wheatstone Project in Onslow and what a huge success it was!!

International trumpeter and singer of note, Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys return to Malt Supper Club on Thursday 15 November. Dedicated to delivering an exciting live show, this electric six piece Perth band captures a mood reminiscent of the Rat Pack or Louis Prima in Las Vegas in the 50s – swingin’ jazz, rockin’ rhythm and blues and good ol’ boogie woogie. Their repertoire also features more contemporary music in a vein similar to artists as diverse as James Brown, Ray Charles & Harry Connick Jr. The VP’s have long been a favourite of Perth’s legion of young swing dancers and will have you jumping and bopping in no time.
