What a week, what a month, what a year already!

What a massive week this has been for us here at Big Sky! The long weekend is looking pretty damn fantastic if you asked us! But not as fantastic as our amazing entertainment that have been out and about this week, show casing their talents and wowing their audiences!

Curtain once again, showing us how studying should be done by having amazing shows put on by Libby Hammers Flash Mob, Reilly Craig and Stu and Andy. Some times when I see the entertainment that is sent to Curtain I feel a little envious and get a little too tempted to enrol into a 5 year course just to experience these lunch time spectaculars!

Some of our favourite businesses have been giving their employees and clients a chance to let off some steam to some great talent such as Fliptease, Mario The (Almost) Magnificent, Ella E, Broken Pokers, Robbie T and Shake!

The hard workers up north have been getting down to some great shows put on by Explosive Dance and one of our new talents on the books David Mercy!! (Check him out, he’s a real treat!)
We have also had the pleasure of sending some fantastic circus and roving acts to the Merredin Show! Acts including Ricochet Circus, Kinetica, African Dancers, Bubble Bikes and Flame!! If you’re popping into Merredin on the weekend – make sure you go to the show. It’s a real blast and the talent is going to make it even better!

Was I lying when I said it’s been a massive week here at Big Sky!

If you happened to have caught any of these acts whilst they were out and about this week, we hope you enjoyed them and if you were interested in having them for one of your events (mining, corporate or private) feel free to call us on 9388 6762 or send us an enquiry through our website! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will check back in with you next week!

Can you believe that it’s already one month into the New Year? They do say that time flies when you’re having fun and believe us, we’ve been having fun – and we hope you have been too! We also hope that you’ve had a fantastic Christmas and New Years – it’s been that long we’ve spoke! Time flew by so fast during the silly season that we started to lose track of it! Over the fun filled silly season we had the opportunity to send some of our performers to some great events across the state! Ensuring that our hard working miners still got the chance to get into the holiday / festive spirit, we sent up some great acts such as Proud Mary, Andrew Winton and The Vans! Spending Christmas and New Years wouldn’t have sounded too bad for them!
Back down locally you may have caught Blue Beats in Mandurah, or maybe our very mystical Mermaids caught your eye if you got the chance to end the year of 2015 at Matisse Beach Club! Whatever you did over the holiday period we hope you enjoyed it as much we did, though sadly it’s time to admit that the silly season is over and it’s time to get back to work, even for us here in the entertainment industry!(who would have thought). Though just because the silly season is over doesn’t mean there’s no more room for fun – the mining sector and many of our corporate customers have shown us this over the past few weeks, putting on events for their employees across the month with some fun filled entertainment from us such as Eerie Ann, Midnight Rambler Trio, Adam Hall and Kinetica!
Whatever the event, corporate and even private – Big Sky Entertainment is your one stop shop for all your entertainment needs, whether you need music, circus, comedy, magic or even a saucy burlesque show; we’ve got it all – so give us a call or send us an email, we’re filling up fast with bookings for this year but there’s always room for more!

When football season is over, who can you turn to for your dose of thrills and excitement? Big Sky Entertainment!

We have entertainment for EVERY season! And you need only look at the last few weeks to see the truth in what I’m saying. Here’s just a taste of what’s been happening OFF the field…

On Tues 22nd September, the very fair ladies, The Hepburns performed at Curtin University , followed by the wonderful Mana Farrell on Wednesday and the Jester and Clown stilts as part of the INDI Festival on Thursday. They were also joined by the bubble stilt-walking act.
Mario the (Almost) Magnificent wowed audiences with his up-close roving magic and wit at a corporate function and the gorgeous Nat Ripepi performed at a soccer match on Sunday of Football West.
Mario has had a busy week, performing for some very lucky guests at a private party and the WA Mine sites had a huge weekend with The Eddie Parise Trio (from the Baby Animals), Explosive Dancers for Oktoberfest celebrations and the Polka dots rounding off the celebrations in true Bavarian style!

This last week entertainment for the corporate arena has been busy and incredibly varied – with some of our artists travelling far and wide between gigs. The golden voice of Jay Weston and the stunning and sultry voice of Ali Bodycoat were heard at a WA Aids Council functions, where they both performed solo sets.
A corporate event at Crown Casino was treated to the formidable talents of magician Robbie T, a contortionist from Kinetica, Vegas Showgirls from O Entertainment and Gypsy Kiara “tarot reader”.
Robbie T was also seen at a corporate function at the Perth Mint, where he was joined by the lovely Little Belle Trio. And I can only assume Robbie T used his magic to spirit himself to Geraldton where he is performing at the Harvest Festival Ball in Chapman Valley – a huge week for this mesmerising magician!
WA Mines Sites are in for a real treat with the Ashes of Rock Band playing this weekend. Featuring Angry Anderson and Dai Pritchard of Rose Tattoo, James Morley ex-The Angels, Yak Sherrit ex Diesel / Jimmy Barnes and Mark Gale of Absolute 80’s with Brian Mannix, this is a gig destined to get the crowd jumping! At another site we have face painters, Bubble Media, Premier Photo Booths and the incredible Ricochet Circus performing.

And coming up we have the very great pleasure of announcing that the phenomenal Ella E will be doing a special performance, showcasing a selection of her songs from her EP Album ‘’Letters I Never Sent” at The Ellington Jazz Club – Perth on Wednesday 7 October from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.

So, if you’re suffering from a little post-Grand Final malaise, get down to the Ellington to boost those endorphins – music truly is the food of love.

It has been a wonderful week in the lead up to a very moving weekend, commemorating 100 years since the landing at Gallipoli. In corporate events this last week, Big Sky was proud to provide entertainment of such calibre as Strung Out, the incredible string ensemble. Happy New Year! And I think I can say with absolute conviction that it was and that 2015 has begun in a truly delightful fashion, being heralded by some top Big Sky performers. In QLD, the legendary Mason Rack Band performed for NYE at a mine site and, not to be outdone, WA mine sites were treated to the wonderful Mickey Shaked Duo, stunning dancers from O Entertainment and incredible party band TopKats. Glamour-filled NYE parties abounded in the corporate sector with Alcatraz at the Valley View Restaurant, Ricochet Circus at Perth Zoo, Mermaids, The Sirens and Kinetica, Retriever Sounds DJ and Sensational Stilts (Windsor Hotel) being amongst those to kiss a fond goodbye to 2014 and wave hello to 2015. Wherever you were, we hope you felt the same anticipatory joy we did. Happy 2015!
