The Weather We’ve All Been Looking For

The weather we have all been waiting for is finally here! We’ve been seeing a lot of short sleeves around and we’re loving it!

We’re also loving the performances that we’ve had happen over the past week..
With Bizircus’s Roving Stilt walker, Robbie T, Mark Pascoe, AViiDA and Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys holding down all of our corporate events, ZAP Circus and Renegade stole the stage at some fantastic community events and Ragdolls & Explosive Dance (Bavarian Dancers) made their way up north to get the party started for Rocktober Fest!

And of course, this week has been just as good!
Cathrine Summers wowing the audience at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre Morning Melodies show, whilst Lisa Harper-Brown and pianist stealing the show at a Mandurah Performing Arts Centre celebration event and Black Swan had the absolute pleasure of having ARCO at the Black Swan State Theatre Company’s 2017 season launch.

The corporate gigs around the city this week have been absolutely amazing with performances from some of our great acts such as; Viva Mexico Duo, Shrinking Violets, Ashley Arbuckle Solo Fliptease Circus (Lollypop Lyra), Cathrine Summers Trio, ZAP Circus (Purple People Show), Mario The (Almost) Magnificent, Cameo Rascale Duo, AViiDA, Chris and Sherri Murphy and MC Darlene Gianoli!

But that’s not all for this week, Zatanna has the private events covered whilst Fine Company heads up north!

IT’S TAX TIME!

For some people, tax time is somewhat like Christmas and is up there with one of the most exciting times of the year, whilst others try their hardest to ignore it for as long as they can (until the tax man comes around and reminds them that they can’t do that anymore).. But along with all the mixed emotions of tax time, a busy week for us here at Big Sky also comes with it!

This week we’ve had some of our favourite corporate companies enjoy some amazing talent, celebrating that EOFY in style!
IKEA would have been serenaded after Eddie Staszak’s performance, the Shire of Irwin would have been blown away by Zap Circus’s amazing abilities and tonight Scott Vance will be taking the stage at an event held by Ron Farris Real Estate!

Up north in the beautiful winter weather, our hard working miners enjoyed two shows from Chris Franklin and then again from Renegade and James Morley & Amanda Canzurlo took the stage at one of our private events this week.

If you were one of the people in any of these crowds and you also ignore tax time – we hope this made it a lot easier for you to push it to the back of your mind!!

If you happened to have caught any of these acts whilst they were out and about this week or over the weekend, we hope you enjoyed them and if you were interested in having them for one of your events (mining, corporate or private) feel free to call us on 9388 6762 or send us an enquiry through our website www.bigskyentertainment.com.au! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will check back in with you next week!

HOORAY FOR FRI-YAY!

I think we can all agree that; thank god it’s Friday!
It’s been another busy week this week here in the Big Sky office – and a hot one at that too!
Let’s start with our hottest clients up in the mining sector! They would have had a great time getting their groove on to Phoenix King and Fine Company!
“Just letting you know that ‘Fine Company’ were the perfect fit for Waitangi Day and really easy to deal with.
Loved the harmony of 4 people on vocals. They mixed it up an even threw in some Beyoncé ‘ crazy in love’ and blues numbers which was a nice change to just reggae and funk
.” – what a great review from our mining clients! So happy to hear!

Moving back down to Perth, this week is the start of the fun filled week that is known as Chinese New Year! QVI had the pleasure of having some magnificent Lion Dancers to blow away their audience, what an experience that would have been for all involved! Our private clients would have also had a blast this week, being wowed by ZAP Circus, Belly Dancers and Robbie T!
A huge round of applause for all of our entertainment that did perform this week during the heat wave, you definitely would have turned the heat up even more for your audiences with all of your fun filled performances!

We hope everyone survived the heat wave this week and remember to keep us mind for all of your entertainment needs, rail hale or hot sunshine!

In Corporate Events this week Fliptease Circus and the Mermaids performed as did Hammer 9, fronted by the wonderful Libby Hammer and the Latin Music Trio.
Jay Weston performed a surprise Happy Birthday song for a very lucky lady and in other private events Michelle Smith, jazz harpist and The Sirens performed.
This weekend is going to be smoking! WA Mine Sites will host duo Nothing Too Serious and Sweet Sister Band. QLD Mine Sites will host the Acoustic Joose Duo, Whacky Wise Guys Trio and the Abby Skye Duo. Callan Durlik is performing at a corporate event and there are some very lucky private events being entertained by the likes of Fifi Fontaine from Sugar Blue Burlesque, the Amy Winehouse show from O Entertainment and ZAP Circus.
