PAT NICHOLSON - band or soloist
.jpg)
Pat started playing guitar at the age of 12 and developed a passion for Blues, Country and Rock music.
Over the years Pat has opened up for Terry Wilson, Dave Tice (Buffalo, The Count Bishops, The Headhunters), The Party Boys featuring Alan Lancaster (Status Quo), Israel Gripka, The Webb Sisters, amongst others.
Pat's repertoire of Bluesy, Soulful and Rockin' classic covers, together with his original material, will get you up on your feet dancing and singing. The band's familiar sound and energy will guarantee you a special night.
Pat is also a deft guitarist who has the panache and confidence to know when less is more. That is reflected in the band - together they play with an economy that brings his lyrics and melodies to the fore.
Pat has performed on stages throughout Australia, Canada and the UK, utilising some of each country's finest musicians.
Operating an ever revolving band, Pat pulls from a large pool of great musicians to outfit his band; musicians that have played with Troy Cassar-Daly, The Whitlams, Paul Jackson, and has most recently recruited Joe Allen (Strangelove, Blue Aeroplanes, Roni Size), Clive Deamer (Robert Plant, Jeff Beck, Dr John, Tom Jones, Portishead, Radiohead), Sean Snook (Kevin Montgomery, Malakai) and Eddie John (Stackridge, Andy Sheppard, Larry Garner), Rob Brian (Siouxsie Sioux, Peter Gabriel), Matt Jones (Zun Zun Egui, Phantom Limb), Andy Tween (Pee Wee Ellis, Seth Lakeman), Ken Pustelnik (Groundhogs, John Lee Hooker, Little Walter, Champion Jack Dupree), Greg "Fish" Fancy (Dutch Mason, Canada's Prime Minister of the Blues) and Sean Cook (Spiritualized, Lupine Howl).
