iPhunk - Premier South West Funk and Soul Band

Performing everything from pure 70's unadulterated Funk to smooth Soul, iPhunk's party favourites are guaranteed to fill any dancefloor.

Based in the South West of Australia, iPhunk's funk/soul credentials are impeccable, playing regularly at The Burlington in Bunbury, The Parade Hotel, huge South West Festivals such as the Dardanup Bull N Barrel and the Donnybrook Apple Festival and numerous corporate and private functions.

iPhunk are:

Mike Bandurski - Bass. iPhunk's exceptional bass player is a veteran of the field, having supported major Australian acts such as Jimmy Barnes to James Morrison. His previous SW bands include Touchwood, Sway and Gemstone Road. He is also a member of Blues Thieves and Strange Brothers. 

Michael Nickolakis - Lead Vocals. For over 20 years Michael has performed in everything from solo gigs to 10-piece funk and soul bands in Melbourne, from The Aberdeen to the Fly By Night Club to Telethon. Now based in Bunbury, he is once again playing that raw funk and soul he loves.

Stephen McMinn - Guitar. As a former bass player with Canadian band Sweet Jones, Steve toured Canada supporting acts such as Blue Rodeo, The Ramones and The Tea Party. They played the famous South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas and performed at iconic clubs such as Horseshoe, The Rivoli and Lee's Palace.

Jayden Williamson - Drums. By the tender age of 15, Jayden had been recognised as one of the Top 5 up and coming drummers in Australia and he has made good on the promise of his youth! Jayden has graced the stage with many of Australia's top jazz and blues acts including Russell Holmes, Paul Pooley, the KNiKi & Mike Beale Project, The Shinkickers, Nicola Milan and Lee Sappho and has supported the likes of Diesel, Mal Eastick, The Mason Rack Band, Glen Terry and John the Revelator.

Mal Toft - Saxophone. Mal has performed in many settings for solo to pit orchestras with a wide range of styles from classical to hard rock, playing major venues in Sydney and Perth. in the 80's Mal was a member of NSW band, Getaway Plane, supporting Echo and the Bunnymen, The Angels, Rose Tattoo and others. After moving to Perth in the 90's, Mal played with numerous bands and musicians such as Ray Brown and the Vegas Payback and Hepset. Now in Bunbury and joining Mike Bandurski in Blues Thieves, Mal continues to work with extraordinary artists such as Andy Cowan, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Christina Olsen and more.
