LATIN MUSIC

LATIN MUSIC is one of Australia's favourite authentic Latin bands. Much sought after, they can play such a diverse range of styles you will be spoilt for choice!

Their two groups include:

LOS CHASQUIS: This incre dible band perform music from t he Andes mountains of South America; from countries such as Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina; and music of the Inkas performed on pan-pipes, bamboo flutes and charango (ten stringed guitar) along with beautiful vocal harmonies. Los Chasquis is the longest running South American group in Australia, celebrating its 27th year in 2011.

RUMBA & CAFE: This fast paced, hip shaking band perform Latin American dance music including Salsa, Mambo, Rumba, Cumbia, Merengue and Cha Cha. Representing countries such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela and Panama, they perform traditional songs such as La Bamba and Guantanamera to modern classic Latin music by Santana, Tito Puente, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Ricky Martin and The Gypsy Kings, to name a few.

LATIN MUSIC offer a large range of performance options from solos and duos, to large Latin ensembles specially designed for concerts, festivals, corporate events, school incursions, community workshops, weddings and general celebrations.
