Jimmy James Eaton is a rising star in Australian standup comedy and improvisation, having performed extensively across the Australian live comedy and theatre industry, the corporate and mining industries, as well as touring overseas to London and Edinburgh. He has also presented for and appeared on ABC TV and CHANNEL V.
He has many credits to his name including...2009 National Australian Theatre Sports Champion "Best & Fairest"; 2008 Jesters Pies Comedy Cup Champion; 2006 WAMG "People's Choice Award" winner; 2005 Channel V Masked Avenger Champion and 2003 MICF Triple J Raw Comedy Australian National Finalist.
Jimmy's standup comedy career has taken him to the Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne and WA International Comedy Festivals. His list of sellout shows include Jimmy James Eaton's Sausage Sizzle (2007), Eaton Alive (2008); This Is Your Life...Sort Of (2008); Jimmy James Eaton, Improsapien (2009) and When Jokes Strike Back (2010).
He is WA's best Comedy MC and has opened for the likes of Des Bishop, Glenn Wool, Reginald D Hunter, Jim Jeffries, Tripod, The Scared Little Weird Guys, Will Anderson, Corrinne Grant, Fiona O'Laughlin, Tom Gleeson, Greg Fleet, Dave Callan, Charlie Pickering, Akmal Sali, Brendon Burns, Dave Thornton, Austin Tayshus, Pommy Johnston and many more. He's also collaborated with comedians such as Tim Minchin, Jimeoin, Greg Fleet, Claire Hooper and Tim Ferguson.
As an improviser and specialist tutor in improvisation, Jimmy has worked and performed with London's Grand Theft Impro, Impro Melbourne, Theatre Sports Sydney, is a star of The Big Hoo-Haa, WA's premier live improv comedy organisation, and is the creator of WA's Free Love Impro.
