Bounty Hunters were formed in February 2016 by drummer Rick Howden and guitarist Kevin Gomm. They were soon joined by keyboardist Warren Bull and shortly after bassist Max Jones.
Based in Albany in the Great Southern of Western Australia, between the four of them, (Warren who incidentally is visually impaired) the resources of their individual talents on their respective instruments mold together as one playing unit and team, creating a musical field that is artistically creative, diverse, innovated and inspired from many different musical influences.
Since their formation, they have performed extensively at venues throughout the South- West from various hotels and clubs. In late 2016 they headlined the popular Coolgardie Day celebrations, culminating in appearing at this year’s Boyup Brook W.A. Country Music festival where they have already been invited to appear again at next year’s festival.
The essence of Bounty Hunters is to deliver high quality material, all with a country music based theme. Each song, both covers and original material is individually and meticulously assessed prior to it being considered for any live performance – hence there are no filler’s.
Original material is no obstacle and is placed as a high priority. Bounty Hunters perform live an array of original material most of which has been written or co-written by guitarist Kevin Gomm. The objective is to record a full album sooner, rather than later in the not too distant future.
