Copacabana Swingers is an upbeat band that blends the Latin rhythms to western songs.
Formed by Marcio Mendes (Guitar and Vocals), Danilo da Paz (Synth accordion) and Fábio Macarrão (Drumkit), the band has performed in many festivals and events around Australia, been known as the “Party Starter”.
Our influences go from Michael Jackson to Tom Jobim, Frank Sinatra to Carlos Santana, Gypsy kings to Elvis Presley and our creativity when comes to creating, blending and exploring rhythms is limitless.
We can basically play anything in a party style. Our fun is to change the rhythm and groove in songs and make our own version of them, everything fun and upbeat.
