By any measure Duncan’s experience as a professional musician is extensive. He has performed in bands that have included a number of well known Australian artists as well as being a member of the popular West Australian outfit Wax who after an eight year hiatus reformed in 2014 for a much anticipated reunion .
After serving his apprenticeship playing extensively throughout Western Australia Duncan moved to Sydney in the early 1990’s to further hone his craft. During that time Duncan gained a reputation as a talented, hardworking and highly professional musician.
“I have lots of great memories of my time in Sydney such as coming off stage one night and having to make the choice between going back on at the request of Alec John from Bon Jovi or meeting with an A & R rep from Mushroom records who had flown up from Melbourne to see us.”
Following a desire to build on his commercial knowledge and skills Duncan returned to Perth in the late 1990’s to compete a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Western Australia whilst continuing to satisfy his love of playing music.
In 2000 Duncan decided to dedicate more time to his solo acoustic performances. Since then he has performed hundreds of gigs ranging from pubs and private functions to corporate events.
Duncan’s repertoire is full of crowd favourites with just the right balance of contemporary and classic hits as well a few unexpected surprises thrown in for good measure.
