An accomplished jazz vocalist with a unique talent for song interpretation, Etta D’Elia has made an indelible impression on the Perth music scene in the decade since moving from her native Italy.

Etta was honoured to sing twice at the Vatican in Rome, with both performances broadcast live on prime-time RAI1 television. In 2004, she sang for Pope John Paul II, and in 2005, she performed in Notte di Luce in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI.

She has performed jazz across Western Australia in duos, trios, and quartets at venues such as The Crown, The Ellington Jazz Club, Jazz Fremantle, Duke of George, Lyrics Underground, The Volstead Lounge, and Velour Lounge. In 2014, she performed Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana as a soloist at Perth Concert Hall.

Etta has appeared as a soloist on TV programs including Telethon 7 and for Italy’s premier broadcaster RAI 1. She has also performed as a soprano soloist at the Perth Concert Hall.

Etta has successfully produced and performed in numerous jazz and cabaret shows, including her signature show Buona Sera Signorina – Italian Music Meets Jazz, which was staged at the State Theatre Centre of WA for Fringe 2023 and 2024, and at Adelaide Fringe 2024. In 2025, she premiered her new show From Naples…With Love! at FRINGEWORLD to great acclaim.

Etta D’Elia performs solo, in duos (with piano, guitar, or accordion), or with her full jazz band (saxophone, piano, double bass, and drums). Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large outdoor festival, you can rest assured your event will be unforgettable!

Covering a wide range of music styles—from jazz to pop, from classic ballads to current hits—this eclectic duo will delight you with original interpretations of songs from all over the world. Their specialty? Italian jazz! Ask them to perform their unique renditions of That’s Amore or Mambo Italiano, and we guarantee you won’t be able to sit still!

Etta’s multicultural background allows her to sing in five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. She holds a degree in voice from Italy and brings over 20 years of experience performing in various countries, including Italy, France, Albania, and Australia.

She has graced many prestigious venues such as The Ellington Jazz Club, Crown Perth, Duke of George, and the State Theatre Centre of WA. She has also performed in prime locations like the Ritz Carlton, Fraser’s Restaurant, and the Pan Pacific Hotel.
