Georgie is an Australian piano player, vocalist and songwriter. Georgie’s original song writing pushes the boundaries of traditional genre’s – her music a melting pot of musical styles including jazz, blues with a focus in Brazilian jazz.
Her musical journey began by playing piano at a young age. Encouraged by her musical family she made rapid progress and by age of eight Georgie was competing in jazz piano and voice eisteddfods. At 19 she commenced a Bachelor of Music – Jazz Performance – on piano at Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium. It was during her third year in the program that she decided to combine her skills as a pianist with her natural singing ability.
After graduating from the Conservatorium in 2007, Georgie has embarked on numerous musical projects. She is actively involved in the music scene, performing in festivals (Adelaide Fringe, Cabaret Fringe, Coopers Alive), cabaret shows (Cardia Cabaret) and special events. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 the Georgie Aue Band played to sell-out audiences through the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Cabaret Festival with shows A Norah Jones Tribute, A Day In The Life – The Beatles and À La Georgie Aué.
Since then Georgie has performed regularly in Melbourne (Paris Cat, Some Velvet Morning), Sydney (El Rocco, The Newsagency) and Adelaide (The Promethean, The Wheatsheaf), delighting audiences with her original music. She is also an avid lover of Brazilian Jazz and has started her own project (The Brazilian Project) featuring music from this specific genre.
