Originating in Perth, Western Australia, this fabulous five – piece ensemble brings their signature style of uplifting melodic pop-folk to audiences.
Weaving strands of Celtic and earthy, trad-folk with warm and hearty three part vocal harmony, they entertain with truly dance-able, sing-able and soul-warming music.
The ‘Gypsylou’ Duo was formed in 2016 by singer/songwriters Carrie Lee and Katie McMahon. Having met in a choir where they both sang in the alto section, they founded the duo on their love of singing in harmony together.
Wishing to build on their sound, they began to take on other musicians shortly afterwards. Matt Stapleton now joins them on fiddle, Ross Daglish on the double bass and Jodn ‘J.D’ Donoghue on percussion.
