At the age of four Noah Shilkin began studying piano with the sisters at Sacred Heart Convent In Perth, Western Australia. At five he began singing in the synagogue choir. The crazy collision of these two worlds sparked a life-long passion for all things music.

Over 3,000,000kms, 3,000 shows and 300 original songs later Noah Shilkin continues his amazing musical career. A veteran of performance from the piano bar to the arena Noah now brings to stage his own incredible interpretation of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in a musical and multi-media spectacle.

Noah was just 17 and playing The Underground piano bar on Newcastle St. Perth when he first met Elton John. Noah wasn’t old enough to be there! Elton had just finished a show at the Perth Entertainment Centre and he and his entourage rocked up to The Underground for the after party. That night the seeds were sown!

“When you’re a little kid who is obsessed with playing the piano, singing and making stuff up it’s hard to ignore the likes of Elton John. He was writing and recording songs and that’s all I wanted to do! I didn’t want to play footy or stuff like that – I drove my family nuts with my obsession”.

With an all star cast forming the Not Quite Dwight band Shilkin takes the audience through the journey of this seminal album performing the songs in the order they appear on the original 1973 recording. Cleverly edited video footage and photos add to the nostalgia and emotional impact of this iconic work.

“To have the opportunity to perform this album is kind of a bucket list dream come true. I like to challenge myself. It’s a classic album and a very demanding sing – but most importantly it’s highly entertaining! Whether people are fans of Elton or not there are songs on this album that are intrinsically linked to our pop culture Zeitgeist!”

The audience is encouraged to dress in their finest 70’s garb and Elton glasses to become fully immersed in the experience – sing along to Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the Wind, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and all the amazing songs on this remarkable work.
