As renowned in his adopted country of Australia as he is in America, his wonderful musicianship has seen him play on everything from television to luxury liners.
In his native USA, Ric worked a variety of gigs from the famous Playboy Clubs of New York & Miami Beach to the Catskill Mountains.
After immigrating to Western Australia, he performed in regular spots on Channel 7 as well fulfilling engagements in many resorts, hotels and nightclubs throughout the state, culminating in the “America’s CupExtravaganza”.
1986 saw Ric embark on a 3 month tour to his native USA and in 1992 he released his 1st solo album, “Simply Magic”. His humble beginnings have been chronicled in the book “Working Musicians” – published by Fremantle Arts Centre Press.
In 1998 Ric began a 3-month resident at the famed “Lai Lai Sheraton Hotel”
Jan 2000 saw Ric set of on another America Tour, hitting 22 cities in 6 weeks. Highlights included engagements at the famed Observatory, John Hancock Building – Chicago, Jazz on the Park in New York City, The Storyville Jazz club in New Orleons and The Coral Spring Civic Centre in Florida.
Ric has performed with his daughter, Nicole Marie to enthusiastic crowds in a season at “His Majesty’s Theatre – Cabaret Soiree”. He has also performed at some of Perth’s top venues, including Burswood’s International Room, Rendezvous Observation City Hotel, The Sheraton, Parmelia Hilton and The Seasons.
Ric has performed with the famed Vojteck Rolak Quartet and is at home with Billy Joel and Frank Sinatra as he is with Liberace.
